Wish List Wednesday, Volume 1

In an attempt to get posts up on the blog a few times a month, I'll be sharing a few things that I come across that I'd love to some day own. Here we go...


1.  Benefit Cheekathon Blush & Bronzer Palette - I've been eyeing this for months. I'm not one to wear makeup often, but if I were to get this, I would be set for the whole year with not having to worry about purchasing blush. Love the colors in this palette.

2. Overwatch: Origins Edition - I got seriously hooked on this game while playing during its beta period last weekend. So much that I was determined to get to a double digit level (ended at Level 12, whoop!). It's set to release May 24th, so I'll be (im)patiently waiting to get my hands on it. 




3. Mirror's Edge: Catalyst - Somewhat unfamiliar with runner type games, I gave this one a shot during another beta period. My interest in checking out the game actually came about when a friend of mine dressed up as the main character Faith for SDCC (she's a pretty damn good doppelganger for her). I enjoyed it and will eventually get the hang of it with practice. They keep pushing back the release date for it, but it's said to finally be out around next month. 



4. Chuck Taylor All Star II Reflective Stars Collection - Chucks are a staple of my wardrobe. I'm in the middle of replacing a few pairs that have become worn down. The AS II collection has upped their comfort level, although I have to order a size up due to the new cushioning, NBD. If anyone were to ask what my favorite shape was, it would be the star. This new collection is calling me out! I have my sights on this black and gray low. 



5. 2016 Clearly Kelly Destinations: San Francisco stamp set - My stamp collection for scrap booking is gradually increasing. I follow Kelly Purkey's shop via social media and was excited to see SF in her line up of destination stamp sets. Must. Get.


6. Lemonade - No, not the latest release by Beyonce. I'm talking about the SoCal based restaurant that's slowly making its way to the Bay Area. So far there's a location in San Francisco, but a few more will be popping up closer to where I live (looking at you, Burlingame and Palo Alto). Can't wait to try it!

Hello Kitty Cafe Truck at Santana Row

Before heading to a bbq in the afternoon, much of my morning was spent waiting for the Hello Kitty Cafe truck at Santana Row in San Jose. This was the 3rd of 4 stops it would be making in the Bay Area for April. It was at the Cherry Blossom Festival a few weeks prior. That was where I saw it for the first time last year. Long story short, I was the first person in line for their Northern California debut, and it was totally unplanned. I knew I'd be there early, but not so much that everyone else had no clue where to find them. Goes to show that researching ahead of time (and also several years of experience at SD Comic Con) pays off! Although I wasn't first this time, I did happen to be among the first 10 people in line. Lucky number 7 to be exact. 2 other friends joined me before the truck opened for business. Urban Decay Mini Haul

I'm currently in the middle of a no-buy for this month. Been doing a-OK so far, but of course I have a list going of things I'd like to purchase once it's done. Here are a few items that I've purchased from Urban Decay's site last month. L-R: NAKED nail color in Instinct, Vice Liquid Lipstick in Amulet, Vice Liquid Lipstick in Trivial NAKED Nail Color in Instinct - When UD's nail color line released, this shade sold out for a while. It was finally re-stocked last month, so I made sure to jump on it. The shade, a medium pink taupe with hint of pearl, is very pretty. Now I know why it flew out of their inventory.  Vice Liquid Lipsticks in Amulet and Trivial - I didn't go overboard when the Vice Liquid Lipsticks came out, but I will say that these have awesome staying power and comfortable wear. Project Life - June 2016

Not much was documented for June, but I did get the chance to try several food places.
