I'm Still Here!

I want to catch up and post new stuff here before the end of the month. I just don't feel like doing anything once I'm home from work. It's a lame excuse, but it's true. I've gotten my badge for SDCC and my flights to and from, so I just gotta wait for a few cosplay items (yes, dressing up again this year and EXCITED), and start putting together my packing list. I have the photos planned out for my PL pages going back starting from April, but I've been a lazy a** in putting them together. They will be, soon. I got a few things lined up for this month too that I'll hopefully get around to writing about as well. To reiterate slightly from my last post, there's just so much to do with not enough time to do it. But regardless of how often this blog actually gets visited, I do want to share some things to it. Stay tuned...

Overwhelmed

Ever since my trip to Coachella last month, I've been wanting to catch up with Project Life, maintain my SDCC webpage, post reviews of my latest makeup hauls and Japan Crates, and keep up with my bullet journal. So much to do with so little time. When I get back from work (I'm off at 5:30), I usually don't want to do a damn thing until it's time for me to have dinner. Weekends and days off are much more valued now more than ever. I could make myself a schedule in order to balance all these things, but I know I'll forget about it after a week. 😖 Maybe setting aside at least an hour each day to focus on 1 thing from that list might be more reasonable. Shoot, forgot about video games too. I just recently reached Level 6 on my PS4 account. That took FOREVER. *sigh* I need to plan another vacation...

Project Life - January and February 2017

Image
Sometimes after I'm finally done with working on pages, I forget about doing anything else with them. That was the case with the past 2 months. It didn't occur to me to post/upload these until I got my March kit from Studio Calico (oops). Anyway, here they are. SDCC Returning Reg: Success!

This past weekend, I woke up early on Saturday morning to participate in Returning Registration for this year's SDCC. As usual, my friends and I got on a conference call and waited for our fates with the spinning blue circle of doom (AKA the virtual waiting room for badges). Last year I got a 4-day first, then upgraded to 4-day with Preview Night during Open Registration. I wasn't so lucky getting in early enough to get badges for others, but majority of my group came out with a few 4-day with Preview Night (myself included thanks to one of them) and 4-day badges. The rest were mainly Thursday & Sunday since that was all that were left after over a half hour online. The process for all of us went rather smoothly, with most of our badges being purchased within 10-20 minutes after 9:00 am. I can rest easy for now, but after Open Registration next month, I'll have to plan out my list for the hotel sale. Luckily I won't have to worry about having to get a parking permit...

Nintendo Switch Preview Tour in SF

Image
Nintendo released their latest console today. Last weekend, The Nintendo Switch Preview Tour made a stop in San Francisco. Here attendees got a first look and a hands on opportunity with the gaming system. The event was first opened for 2 days to invite-only attendees, and the last day welcomed the public on a first-come first served basis. My mind wasn't completely made up yet about investing in this console prior to the event. Would seeing the Switch in person sway my decision to actually purchase one? Let's find out. I registered for the first day of the Switch Preview Tour, which meant I'd be among the first group of attendees to see the console. Was I excited? Heck yeah! I already knew a handful of friends had pre-ordered or planned to by the Switch, so it was a must that I saw for myself if it was worth the hype. Once my ticket was scanned and a staff member handed me a freebie, I was on my way. A few more staff members were lined up on each side...

Urban Decay Mini Haul

Image
I'm currently in the middle of a no-buy for this month. Been doing a-OK so far, but of course I have a list going of things I'd like to purchase once it's done. Here are a few items that I've purchased from Urban Decay's site last month. L-R: NAKED nail color in Instinct, Vice Liquid Lipstick in Amulet, Vice Liquid Lipstick in Trivial NAKED Nail Color in Instinct - When UD's nail color line released, this shade sold out for a while. It was finally re-stocked last month, so I made sure to jump on it. The shade, a medium pink taupe with hint of pearl, is very pretty. Now I know why it flew out of their inventory.  Vice Liquid Lipsticks in Amulet and Trivial - I didn't go overboard when the Vice Liquid Lipsticks came out, but I will say that these have awesome staying power and comfortable wear. I own Amulet in both tube and liquid forms because this brick rose shade is LIFE. You won't blame me once you see the swatch! Trivial is a pink nude, a...

Happy Friday!

Posts have been few because I've started a new job and working 9-5 makes me not want to do much once I get home. I still have yet to finish last month's and this month's Project Life pages (figures), and I have a few beauty reviews that I'll eventually get up here if the weekend allows. So to whoever actually reads this blog, thanks and hope you're well.

CES 2017

Image
I've been to Vegas in January for the past few years, this one in particular marking my 6th, to attend the International Consumer Electronics Show (aka CES). Attendees to the show come from all over the US and worldwide to see the newest innovations in technology. I visited a few booths that I normally look out for, plus some new ones.   Sony is one booth that I visit every year. I always like trying out their noise cancelling headphones (although I have yet to invest in a pair). One of the current prototypes allows the wearer to press down on one side, pausing music they're currently listening to in order to engage in conversation or listen to whatever inside noise is occurring. When the pressed side is released, the music and noise cancelling resumes. Polaroid is my 2nd favorite booth. In addition to CES celebrating its 50th year running, Polaroid hit its own milestone with their 80th anniversary. Look out for their Polaroid Pop camera, which will m...
